I was put on this project for look development and then production animation. The Phononic technology is very intriguing, their products are capable of outputting heat and cold without any moving parts. The client wanted a realistic, clean, tech style to accompany their brand image for their web design.

The team had to figure out a creative way to portray the cooling and heating in a visual way along with building a story around the capabilities of the technologies and their practical uses in the daily world. Kons used different lighting techniques in octane render in order to achieve the desired abstract effects while maintaining the sought after realism that was required.

The first page Technology Landing is about showing the bare bones of the technology. At the core we started with the smallest parts of the signature PHP and build on from there.

The Pumping Heat page is about how the elements at the core of the technology come together in oder to create individual PHP units.

The Moving Heat page is about how PHP units can distribute the Transport thermal energy from the thermoelectric cooler away from the cooled space inside a refrigerator.

The Controlling Heat page is about how each system is individually controllable so you get amazingly fast pull-down and recovery without sacrificing efficiency.
